Our Short Story

I am Leonard J Mills, and I run Coorg Rosewood Timbers, a speciality timber merchant/exporter specializing in exclusive Rosewood furniture and interiors.

My vision is to make Rosewood furniture accessible and affordable to customers in the country. Owning first class pieces of furniture is true pride.

2014

When it all began

It began in 2014 while I was reading the newspaper at a nearby school office. The article read something like this "individuals can now purchase Rosewood" the paper stated. The article kind of got my attention, and I paused for a while, chuckling with excitement as though I knew something but couldn't seem to see it. Before I know it, I'm on the next bus to Kushalnagara (Coorg). A small town in Kodagu district. This is where we eventually developed a full-fledged manufacturing unit/factory.

2019

An Unexpected Fortune in 2019

I never went into this sector intending to start a company. Instead, I purchased Rosewood for personal use and transformed it into lovely carvings and furniture. Friends and family got quite interested after a few months. That's when we started creating masterpieces for our clients. Before I knew it, the story had reached my friends and family, who were enthusiastic about my job. This is where the creation of exquisitely constructed marvels began. Our consumers' well-being became our principal focus.

2022

Hundreds and Counting

A journey that began with pure enthusiasm has evolved into a lovely relationship that I can now share with hundreds of clients. Today, we've grown into a 5-star D2C brand with a client tribe that spans the country. Da Grains aim to provide the most personal experience you can have with the furniture you purchase now as something that will stay with you for a lifetime and beyond. We don't believe in mass production but to give something that is exclusive to you.
